Julie Marie Seibert is an artist, educator, and crafter. Primarily working in fiber and paint, Julie Marie has exhibited throughout the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia Metro areas. As Assistant Educator of Family Programs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Julie Marie fosters multigenerational learning opportunities utilizing collection, art materials and techniques at each of The Met’s three campuses. Before The Met, she worked at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and Brooklyn Children’s Museum, along with other museums and galleries. She was a 2019 Feminists in Residence at the Project for Empty Space (Newark, NJ). Julie Marie holds a BA in Art History and MFA in Painting/Drawing from New Jersey City University as well as a MA in Museum Education from University of the Arts. She is a Jersey City resident, along with her husband and two children.
